MMRDA appoints Consultant for Metro 4 Corridor in Mumbai
Mumbai India: Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) Executive Committee has been announced on Sunday for appointed DB Engineering and Consulting with Hill International and Louis Berger Consulting as consultants for the Wadala-Ghatkopar-Mulund-Thane-Kasarvadavali metro-4 corridor.
The main and important vision of these Consultants are especially design, assistance in procurement, construction management, supervision, system integration, interface management, testing and commissioning of the entire corridor among other various responsibilities, MMRDA said in a release.
The Committee’s Chairman Sumit Mullick also appointed Niraj Cement Structurals to construct the 2.2-km long elevated road from Bharat Diamond Bourse in Bandra Kurla Complex to Vakola Junction, which is expected to decongest BKC and Santacruz Chembur link road junctions.
It further appointed the consortium of Stup-Darashaw to prepare detailed project report for the 35-km Marve-Bhayander-Godbunder Road (Thane) after concluding the economical and techno-economical feasibility surveys. This road is an extension of the Coastal Road proposed by the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
