THE authority building the North East Link toll road spent almost $3 million on consultants in its first three months.
The Herald Sun can also reveal the North East Link Authority splashed out nearly a quarter of a million dollars on professional spinners and stakeholder relations.
The authority engaged nine different consultants to provide advice on the road — which will link Melbourne’s Eastern Freeway to the M80 Ring Rd — between February and April this year.
In total the consultants were paid $2.9 million, documents obtained under Freedom of Information laws reveal.
This included $971,558.90 for GHD — which involved drilling across 50 sites — and $838,000 to Ernst & Young.Category: Consultants
